Journal of Nusantara Economy is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing high-quality and original scholarship on contemporary economic transformation, business innovation, economic governance, Islamic economics and finance, technological development, and sustainable development. The journal adopts an interdisciplinary and comparative perspective that connects economic systems, business practices, digital and technological innovation, legal and regulatory frameworks, institutional governance, and public policy in addressing emerging economic and societal challenges. Its distinctive contribution lies in providing a platform for research that moves beyond conventional disciplinary boundaries and develops context-sensitive explanations of how economies and institutions respond to digitalization, sustainability transitions, financial transformation, and changing global economic structures. With particular attention to the Asia-Pacific and European regions, the journal welcomes empirical, theoretical, comparative, methodological, and policy-oriented studies that generate new conceptual insights, offer robust evidence, and contribute to both international academic debates and practical economic development.

The journal is committed to strengthening the internationality, diversity, and global scholarly reach of its publication ecosystem through an increasingly diverse community of authors, reviewers, and editors representing different countries, regions, academic traditions, and research perspectives across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and other parts of the world. This geographical and intellectual diversity enriches peer review, encourages cross-country comparison, and facilitates the exchange of perspectives on economic issues that transcend national boundaries. Journal of Nusantara Economy is published twice a year, covering the January–June and July–December periods, and continuously seeks to expand international collaboration, author diversity, editorial representation, and the visibility of research from emerging and established economies. Through its emphasis on originality, interdisciplinary scholarship, comparative analysis, methodological rigor, and globally relevant economic questions, the journal aims to serve as a distinctive scholarly forum for understanding and shaping inclusive, sustainable, innovative, digitally connected, and internationally integrated economic development.
