Journal History

Nusantara: Journal of Law Studies was established in 2022 under the management of the Islamic Research Publisher in collaboration with the Faculty of Sharia, Universitas Islam Zainul Hasan Probolinggo, Indonesia. The journal published its first issue in December 2022 (Volume 1, Number 1) and has since been issued biannually in January-June and July-December.

Within a relatively short period, Nusantara: Journal of Law Studies developed into an internationally oriented legal journal, attracting contributors and editorial members from various countries. A major milestone was achieved on 9 January 2026, when Nusantara: Journal of Law Studies was officially indexed in Scopus, marking its recognition as a reputable international peer-reviewed journal in legal studies.
