Abstract

This study explores the concept of Ijtihad as a method for interpreting Islamic law, offering an epistemological analysis of its underlying dimensions. Employing an interdisciplinary approach, this research integrates aspects of law and epistemology to examine Ijtihad's role in understanding and interpreting Islamic legal principles. Through a critical analysis of primary sources of Islamic law, the study delves into how Ijtihad functions as a dynamic tool for interpretation. Additionally, the research investigates the epistemological foundations of Islamic law, focusing on key elements such as sources of knowledge, methodologies, and interpretative frameworks. The findings provide valuable insights into Ijtihad as both an intellectual and epistemological phenomenon, highlighting its significance in shaping the evolution of Islamic legal thought and interpretative methodologies. This analysis has profound implications for advancing the discourse on Islamic law and its application in contemporary contexts.
