Data and Reproducibility

Data Availability and Reproducibility Policy

Terabit: Journal of Informatics and Computing is committed to promoting transparency, reproducibility, and scientific rigor in research. This policy outlines the journal’s expectations regarding data availability, reporting standards, and reproducibility of published work. The journal follows the Core Practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Data Availability

Authors are encouraged to make all data underlying their research findings openly available whenever possible. Sufficient details regarding data collection, processing, and analysis must be provided to enable verification and reproducibility.

  • Datasets should be deposited in reputable repositories or made accessible through links in the manuscript.
  • If data cannot be shared due to ethical, legal, or confidentiality constraints, authors must clearly state the reasons.
  • Editors may request access to raw data for verification when necessary.

Research-Specific Considerations

Quantitative Research:

  • Provide access to datasets and statistical methods used in the study.
  • Ensure reproducibility of results through clear documentation.

Qualitative Research:

  • Provide detailed descriptions of data sources, sampling methods, and analysis techniques.
  • Include representative excerpts or evidence supporting the findings when appropriate.

Reporting Standards

Authors are encouraged to follow relevant reporting guidelines appropriate to their study design. Clear and complete reporting enhances transparency, reproducibility, and the quality of scholarly communication.

Reproducibility

Authors must provide sufficient methodological detail, including algorithms, models, software, and experimental setups, to enable other researchers to reproduce the results.

Data Citation

All datasets and external sources used in the research must be properly cited in the reference list following the journal’s citation style (IEEE).

Compliance Check

The editorial board and reviewers will assess compliance with this policy during the peer-review process. Authors may be asked to provide additional data or clarification if required.

Policy Review

This policy will be periodically reviewed and updated to align with evolving best practices in data sharing, transparency, and reproducibility.
