Retraction & Correction
Retraction & Correction (R & C) Policy
Maintaining Integrity, Transparency, and Scholarly Trust
The editorial team of Nusantara Education recognizes that authors prepare manuscripts with care and that all submissions undergo rigorous peer-review. However, in exceptional circumstances, published articles may require correction, retraction, or removal to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record.
All actions related to Retraction & Correction (R&C) are conducted with strict ethical standards to ensure transparency, accountability, and trust in academic publishing. The journal is fully committed to maintaining the accuracy, reliability, and completeness of scientific archives for researchers and institutions worldwide.
All corrections and retractions are carried out based on publication ethics best practices, including adherence to COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines, ensuring consistency, fairness, and academic integrity.
Article Retraction
Articles may be retracted under the following conditions:
- Major scientific errors that invalidate conclusions (e.g., data fabrication or miscalculation)
- Redundant or duplicate publication without proper acknowledgment
- Ethical violations such as plagiarism or inappropriate authorship
Retraction Process:
- Concern is reported to the Editor
- Evaluation follows COPE flowcharts and author response review
- Assessment by Ethics Advisory Board
- Final decision communicated to authors and relevant institutions
- Retraction notice published and documented transparently
Retraction decisions are made to protect the integrity of the academic record and are not solely determined by authors, even when copyright is retained.
Article Correction
Corrections may be issued when:
- Minor errors affect clarity but not overall validity
- Authorship details require revision
Types of Correction:
- Erratum – publisher error
- Corrigendum – author error
- Addendum – additional clarification or update
All correction decisions are made by Editors, with input from reviewers or editorial board members where necessary.
Article Removal & Replacement
Article Removal is only applied in extreme cases, such as:
- Legal violations (defamation, copyright infringement)
- Court orders or legal requirements
- Serious public health risks
In such cases, article metadata remains accessible, while the content is replaced with a removal notice.
Article Replacement may occur when:
- The original article poses significant risk if used
- A corrected version is available
The retraction notice will include a link to the corrected version and maintain a transparent publication history.
Nusantara Education is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics, transparency, and scholarly integrity. Every correction or retraction is conducted responsibly to ensure the reliability and credibility of the global academic record.
